In the 56th year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1791 AD), the esteemed scholar Gui Fu and his friends constructed the Tanxi Academy on the Five Dragons Pool as a venue for gatherings and exchanges.
乾隆五十六年,著名學(xué)者桂馥與朋友在濟(jì)南五龍?zhí)缎藿艘凰疤段骶帷?,作為聚?huì)交流的場(chǎng)所。
Presenter: Upon completion, the Tanxi Academy became the go-to for cultural exchanges among scholars and literati of that time. And where is the Tanxi Academy now? Right here at the Mingshi Pavilion.
主持人:“潭西精舍”建成后一度成為當(dāng)時(shí)名人學(xué)士進(jìn)行文化交流的重要場(chǎng)所。而“潭西精舍”現(xiàn)在在哪呢,其實(shí)就是我現(xiàn)在所在名士閣。
During the construction of the Tanxi Academy, a spring was accidentally discovered, creating a scene resembling a jade lake, much to Gui Fu's delight.
同時(shí),在修建“潭西精舍”的時(shí)候,無意挖出了一個(gè)泉眼,頓時(shí)狀若玉湖,令桂馥喜出望外。
Presenter: When it came to naming the spring, a stroke of genius led to the birth of the"Qishisan Spring". Today, the spring is situated on the southwest side of Wulongtan Park.
主持人:在為泉水起名時(shí),靈機(jī)一動(dòng),“七十三泉”應(yīng)運(yùn)而生。如今七十三泉就在五龍?zhí)豆珗@的西南側(cè)。
"Jinan is graced with 72 famous springs, not counting the Five Dragons Pool. To honor scholars' toiling quest, we add the seventy-third." This is a poem dedicated specifically to the Qishisan Spring by Gui Fu. Guo Minpan, a disciple of Gui Fu and a calligrapher and painter in the Qing Dynasty, created a masterpiece based on this poem, known as Night Soiree at Tanxi.
“名泉七十二,不數(shù)五龍?zhí)?。為勞算博士,籌添七十三。”就是他專門為“七十三泉”作的詩(shī)。其弟子清代書畫家郭敏磐,根據(jù)此詩(shī)繪制了一幅佳作,即《潭西客夜圖》。
Presenter: On the east side of the Mingshi Pavilion stands a stele depicting the Night Soiree at Tanxi.
主持人:在名士閣的東側(cè)有一處《潭西客夜碑》,上面就刻畫著《潭西客夜圖》。
Today, this painting is housed in the Jinan City Museum.
